SIP-DECT adds the comfort of mobility to VoIP networks, based on two technologies:

Voice over IP (VoIP): Voice is conveyed via an IP data network to an IP radio fixed part (RFP).

DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications): Technology for conveying voice securely over the air from the IP radio fixed part to the handset.

SIP-DECT is an open standard for establishing connections in IP networks. Many systems (communications server, Soft-PBX, etc.) already use SIP for their internal and external communications. SIP-DECT offers the possibility to integrate mobile communications solutions into IP based systems.
